Velix has been many things, but being comfortable isn't on his list. His family was saved by the Gridanians after fleeing Ala Mhigo, only to then perish during the Calamity. In his grief, Velix took up the lance and stood to help the Twelveswood in one way or another, making sure that so long as he can serve, Eorzea never repeats its history.Since then, Velix's journey has taken him to places far and wide in defense of Eorzea. He's fiercely loyal to Gridania and actively goes into the world, hoping to help the common-folk wherever they lie. Lance in hand and home in heart, Velix has fought in Ishgard, braved the frontlines of Ghimlyt, and braved the frozen north of Ilsabard, not because of what's in front of him, but because of who's behind him.

CONNECTIONS/HOOKS:

• Ailyn Tanet - His 'little Serpent' and apprentice in the Grand Company. Velix does his best to train her in the Adder's Nest and guide her along her path.

Kela and Rene - Velix has a Vieran adopted sister who works in Ul'dah. He does his best to look after her given her traumatic past. Her boyfriend, Rene, is only starting to warm to the Elezen.

Talia Echlaine - Velix's loyal secretary and caretaker. In times of long absence, the Duskwight runs the ins and outs of his small gathering business in the locales of the Arenthel estate.
